  • Bastoni to the Bridge?

Chelsea are monitoring Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni, according to CalcioMercato.

The Italy international is reported to be considering not signing a new deal at Inter to secure a free move this summer.

And that has alerted Mauricio Pochettino who is now interested in bringing the 24-year-old to Stamford Bridge.

Man City are also rumoured to be eyeing a move with Inter set to ask for around £60million for the centre-back.

  • Tonali latest

Newcastle are reportedly exploring all possibilities of legal action around Sandro Tonali's transfer from AC Milan.

Tonali is set to be banned for 10 months following a probe by the Italian Prosecutor's Office and Italian Football Federation (FIGC) in relation to illegal gambling activity.

The Sun report that while they are throwing their support behind the player they are weighing up all legal options.

  • Jesus eyed by Barca and Real

Barcelona and Real Madrid are keeping an eye on Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus, according to AS.

The Spanish giants were reportedly keen on signing Jesus before he joined the Gunners from Man City last year.

They missed out on the Brazilian then, but he remains on their radar and a possible approach could be made by either club.

Real are still looking to replace Karim Benzema while Barca are open to bringing in another attacking option.

  • Man City want Musiala

Reports in Germany suggest that Manchester City are set to swoop in for Bayern Munich's Jamal Musiala.

The forward, who scored in the Champions League this week, has been attracting plenty of interest from England.

Liverpool were said to be looking at the former Chelsea youngster but it was later reported that he would only consider leaving to Man City or Real Madrid.

And it seems that has sparked Pep Guardiola's interest, with the City boss now keen to join the race to sign Musiala.

  • De Gea U-turn?

Manchester United are planning a possible short-term contract offer for David De Gea, according to The Sun.

The goalkeeper was not offered a new deal in the summer and left the club, but he has not found a new team since.

And now United are worried they will need him back to help cover for Andre Onana who will be leaving for AFCON this winter.

So the Red Devils are now eyeing a surprising U-turn by pleading for De Gea to return to Old Trafford.

The topic was discussed earlier this morning on talkSPORT Breakfast…

Gabby Agbonlahor doesn't think David de Gea should return to Manchester United after departing Old Trafford in the summer
  • Brentford target Abraham

Tammy Abraham is being eyed for a potential Premier League return, according to TEAMtalk.

They claim that Brentford are one of several top-flight clubs looking to sign the striker.

This is because Jose Mourinho is set to depart Roma in the summer, leading to a potential mass exodus.

And it’s the Bees and Aston Villa that lead the chase for the forward.

  • Toney's price tag revealed

Ivan Toney is set to be one of the hottest properties on the transfer market this January and his price tag has been revealed.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano claimed on the ‘Debrief Podcast‘ podcast that Brentford want £65million for the banned striker.

Of course, he won’t be match fit due to being suspended from football, but he’s proven in his two Premier League seasons that he’s a top striker.

Chelsea and Arsenal are leading the race for the English international’s signature, so it will be fascinating to see who makes the first move in the new year.

And that’s really not a bad fee for a player in the prime of his career.

  • Gbamin’s plea for a return

Former Everton midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin remains without a club since his contract was cancelled this summer.

The Ivory Coast midfielder made only eight appearances in four years for the Toffees, with his career declining.

However, Gbamin’s agent has now sent out a plea for teams to sign him, saying he has never been in better shape.

Agent Bernard Collingnon said: “Arsenal and Tottenham wanted Jean-Philippe in 2019.

“Jurgen Klopp, who managed Mainz, had wanted JP before signing Fabinho. But we chose Everton because if you arrive straight away at a big club in England, it’s very difficult to make it.

“N’Golo Kanté would never have been the player he was at Chelsea if he didn’t arrive at Leicester. The same with Riyad Mahrez at City.

“Kurt Zouma went straight to Chelsea and didn’t do well straight away. The same with [Romelu] Lukaku, Mo Salah, Kevin De Bruyne, Timo Werner.

“The level is so high, but also the approach is so demanding. Players have to be ready for all of it.

“The coach of Ivory Coast keeps calling. He needs JP to play at AFCON, but JP needs to find a project.”

  • Silva in for Serhou

Fulham are keen on signing in-form Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy in the January transfer window, according to The Standard.

Guirassy has already scored 14 goals this season, including two hat-ricks in the Bundesliga.

The Guinea international has a release clause of only £15million and Marco Silva may activate it to get himself a bargain.

The Cottagers have not managed to replace Aleksandar Mitrovic after he left the club for Saudi Arabia and a new No.9 will be their main target once the window opens.

  • Arsenal could lose key coach

Louis van Gaal’s pursuit to end Ajax’s crisis could end up on Arsenal’s bench.

The new advisor of the faltering Amsterdam giants is said to be a fan of Mikel Arteta’s right-hand man Albert Stuivenberg.

The Gunners assistant manager has become a recognisable face during the team’s transition into title challengers, and he previously worked with Van Gaal at Manchester United.

Milos Gouka of Dutch outlet AD.nl has said that Ajax need a coach ‘who knows how to play attacking football’ and that Stuivenberg is someone ‘who could bring football back to Ajax’.

Due to their close relationship at Old Trafford, Gouka added: “Van Gaal knows what kind of meat [Stuivenberg] has in store. In terms of profile, I think that would be a good one for Ajax.”

  • Kevin De-latest star contacted by Saudi

Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne has reportedly been contacted by Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr over a shock move.

The Belgian is set to enter the final 12 months of his contract next year and Saudi Arabia are ready to pounce, according to Rudy Galetti.

Al Nassr are said to have made contact with De Bruyne's agent with the club keen on sorting a meeting to discuss a potential switch.

The Frenchman joined talkSPORT this morning to discuss Arsenal's 2-1 Champions League victory over Sevilla.

And he said while he was disappointed with a number of their players, he has been really impressed with Rice's ability and mentality since moving to North London.

Everton's Amadou Onana and Fulham's Joao Palhinha are also reported to be names on their list of targets.

  • Tonali set to receive ban

Sandro Tonali is set to be banned from football for ten months, talkSPORT understands.

The Newcastle midfielder will be hit with a lengthy suspension after he admitted to placing bets on matches in which he played during his time in Italy.

As it stands Tonali can still play against Borussia Dortmund tonight in the Champions League while the ban is ratified.

The lengthy ban will see the 23-year-old miss the remainder of the season for Newcastle and Euro 2024, should Italy qualify for the tournament.

Tonali's Italy teammate Nicolo Fagiolo has already been given a worldwide ban of seven months for breaching betting rules.

Tonali, whose agent has claimed he is fighting a gambling addiction, joined Newcastle for £55million in the summer from AC Milan.

  • Musiala blow

Liverpool have been dealt a blow in their pursuit for Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala.

Sky Germany report that the 20-year-old is not thinking about leaving Bayern any time soon.

Jurgen Klopp has been monitoring Musiala as a possible replacement for Mohamed Salah should the Egyptian leave.

However, a move for the German international is said to only be realistic in the next three years, with Man City and Real Madrid the main options.

  • Silva signs new deal

Marco Silva has committed his future to Fulham by signing a new deal at Craven Cottage.

The former Everton and Watford boss rejected a move to Saudi Arabia in the summer to stay in west London.

His new contract runs until the summer of 2026, and he's very pleased to get it wrapped up.

Speaking to the club's website, he said: "I’m really pleased to sign a new contract as it was something we had been discussing for some time.

"It’s always a good sign when both parties are happy and want to continue working together.

"I feel that the business is not done yet, we’ve had two great seasons, and the goal is clearly there to sustain this club in the Premier League. This is key for the future of this club, and we are working hard to achieve it.

"It is important to feel the trust and have the support of our owners. My relationship with them, and with Fulham Football Club as a whole, has been really important in this decision and the success of the last two seasons.

"The commitment and ambition that these players have demonstrated since day one has been the key to what we have achieved, and that will always continue to be the case, along with the unconditional support of our fans, who are fundamental. Let’s continue together on this long journey."

  • Dortmund want Bellingham

No, not that one, although they would probably love him back one day.

But despite Jude leaving, Borussia Dortmund's infatuation with the Bellingham family is set to continue, with Jobe their latest target.

Reports in Italy suggest the Sunderland man is on their wishlist.

The 18-year-old only moved to Wearside earlier this year for £3million and has impressed for Tony Mowbray's men.

But should Dortmund come looking, surely he will follow his brother's footsteps?

  • Fulham lead race for Bundesliga hotshot

We brought you news earlier today about Serhou Guirassy's release clause at Stuttgart.

West Ham and Brentford are among the teams that are interested in signing the striker for what would be just over £15million.

But the Evening Standard claim that it's now Fulham who lead the race for Guirassy.

He has scored 15 goals this season, and given the Cottagers need to replace Aleksandar Mitrovic, it's no surprise to see they want this goalscoring sensation.

  • Tottenham face transfer blow

Spurs look set to miss out on Ansu Fati's signature next summer, according to reports from Spain.

Sport claim the Barcelona youngster, who is on loan with Brighton, is being eyed for a move to Saudi Arabia.

Tottenham were linked with a summer move earlier this year and would be keen to sign him permanently but clubs in Saudi Arabia are pushing ahead.

They have made contact with the player's entourage and have held informal discussions over a possible move.

  • Ramsdale shock Chelsea target

Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has emerged as a shock transfer target for Chelsea.

talkSPORT's Ben Jacobs reports the Blues are keen on signing the England international, who has been dropped for David Raya.

Mikel Arteta claims that he doesn't have a number one but Ramsdale has been sat on the bench for all of Arsenal's recent Premier League and Champions League games.

It's an odd situation and could see the young keeper move on.

Ramsdale was one of the Gunners' best players last season, so to see him replaced by Raya is bizarre.

Meanwhile, the Blues signed Robert Sanchez in the summer but see Ramsdale as an upgrade on the Spaniard.

  • Guirassy release clause

Serhou Guirassy has enjoyed an incredible start to the season for Stuttgart, scoring 15 goals in nine games.

He is ahead of Harry Kane at the top of the Bundesliga goalscoring charts and has drawn the attention of several Premier League clubs.

West Ham and Brentford are among the sides who are keen, and they will be very interested to hear that the striker has a 17.5m Euro release clause, according to Fabrizio Romano.

This works out at just over £15million, so there is likely to be a lot of competition for his signature in January.

  • Lack of squad depth will stop Tottenham

Tottenham are top of the Premier League and are unbeaten in the top-flight.

But Ally McCoist believes that the lack of squad depth in Spurs' squad will stop them challenging for the title.

From all of Tottenham's new summer signings, only Micky van de Ven started the 2-0 win over Fulham.

However, if Spurs are in a title battle by January, you would expect the club to try and improve the squad.

  • Phillips to replace Tonali

Newcastle United were planning to have a quiet January transfer window but with Sandro Tonali about to be banned, the plans have changed.

The i report that Manchester City outcast Kalvin Phillips has emerged as a potential loan signing in January.

The Magpies have a long-standing interest in the England international, who needs game time to be sharp for the national squad.

He's open to a move to Tyneside and would almost certainly slot into Eddie Howe's midfield.

  • Hello, and welcome back to talkSPORT.com's live transfer blog

Let's start by looking at the biggest story.

Italian journalist Alfredo Pedulla claims Newcastle midfielder Sandro Tonali is set for a ten-month ban from all football.

He has settled on an agreement with Italian authorities over his involvement in illegal betting, including gambling on AC Milan games.

If this turns out to be true, he will miss the rest of the season and will be available for the start of the 2024/25 campaign.

  • Re-United

David De Gea has sent fans into meltdown after posting a picture alongside his former Man United teammate Bruno Fernandes.

The goalkeeper left Old Trafford in the summer after his contract expired and he still doesn't have a new club.

De Gea does, however, have his own eSports team called 'Rebels Gaming' and Fernandes is a shareholder.

So the pair met up to promote the team's new kit and seeing them together has caused United supporters to call for a return.

One fan wrote: "Soon back at United together again as well."

Another said: "Come back, we miss you."
