Djed Spence and Tanguy Ndombele are among the names to be placed on the transfer list at Tottenham.

The duo join Hugo Lloris and Joe Rodon on the list of players made available by Ange Postecoglou, while Davinson Sanchez and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg will be allowed to leave for the right price.

Postecoglou is building a team who can compete in the Premier League by implementing his high-intensity, offensive style of play that served him so well at Celtic.

Having already signed James Maddison, Guglielmo Vicario and Manor Solomon along with permanent deals for Pedro Porro and Dejan Kulusevski, Spurs are close to signing defender Micky van de Ven and forward Alejo Veliz.

As a result, Tottenham are looking to trim their squad, with Spence and Ndombele top of the list of potential departures, the Evening Standard reports.

Spence arrived at the club from Middlesbrough last for a fee of £20million, however he was limited to just six cameo appearances before being sent out on loan to Rennes.

Ndombele moved to the club in 2019 in a fee worth up to £64million, but despite making 91 appearances for the club, he's spent the last 18 months on loan with moves to Lyon and Napoli.

But according to the new Tottenham boss, several players will have to leave this summer.

He said: "I don't have a fixed number [of players] in my head, but fair to say our squad is too big at the moment.

"There are obviously guys who will look for opportunities elsewhere.

"It is not something I am involved in. I will deal with what's in front of me and I think we'll see some movement out over the next few weeks.

"We've obviously got a bit of time before the end of the transfer window."
