UFC legend Michael Bisping struggled to watch his son's recent sparring session.

On Monday, the former middleweight champion, who is known for being one of the toughest combat sports stars of all time, shared footage of his 13-year-old trading blows with another MMA student.

Lucas Bisping – the youngest of the UFC icon’s three children – looked like a chip off the old block as he landed combinations on his gun-shy opponent.

However, the video cuts off after just 26 seconds as 'The Count', who was filming the sparring session, told Lucas to ‘take it easy’ when he threw a heavy high kick.

Bisping captioned the video he shared to X – formerly known as Twitter: “Little snippet of Lucas training tonight.”

It wasn’t long before his comment section was flooded with praise for Lucas, who first became known to MMA fans when he hilariously and incorrectly predicted his dad would lose to Luke Rockhold in 2016.

UFC featherweight Cub Swanson commented: “Looking good.”

Others picked up on Bisping’s growing concern as the spar went on.

One person replied: “Take it easy Lucas… just as it cuts off haha.”

Another pointed out: “Bisping telling his son to take it easy because he's clearly doing better than the other kid.”

Last year, Lucas gave the world a glimpse of his fighting potential when he locked his father in a rear-naked choke and almost put him to sleep during a live podcast.

The teenager is not the only Bisping kid with the potential to follow in the UFC Hall of Famer’s footsteps – many expect his eldest son to crossover to MMA at some point.

Callum Bisping is currently studying at San Francisco State University where he competes as a wrestler in NCAA Division 2 - he has also won several Brazilian jiu-jitsu tournaments.

It appears Bisping will have to get used to sitting back and watching his sons compete, rather than doing it himself, after calling time on his epic career in 2018.
