Liverpool man Harvey Elliott gets booed at England U21 game despite scoring delightful two goals
Liverpool man Harvey Elliott could only briefly silence the boo boys with two brilliant goals for England's under-21 side.
Elliott's double helped England to a 3-0 victory over Northern Ireland in their Under-21 European Championship qualifier at Goodison Park.
Elliott's first and England's second came on 52 minutes from a dead ball as he beautifully curled the ball past Northern Ireland goalkeeper Josh Clarke from 25 yards out.
Those in attendance at Goodison Park showed some appreciation for Elliott following his fine finish but he those cheers soon turned to jeers.
The Liverpool ECHO reports that there were boos heard at Everton's home after it was announced who the goalscorer was, while Elliott was also booed earlier in the match.
Elliott then put Lee Carsley's side 3-0 up on 80 minutes with a delightful dink after receiving a pass from Tyler Morton, but it's reported that there were still boos heard after Elliott was announced as the goalscorer.

The boos could be due to the fact Elliott plies his trade with Everton's rivals Liverpool. However, Morton and Jarell Quansah, who also represent the Reds, started the game and did not receive the same hostility.
Morton put the Young Lions ahead in the first half with a drilled finish from the edge of the box.
The result leaves England second in their qualifying group with four wins out of five, their only dropped points coming during a 3-2 defeat to Ukraine, who are top of Group F, in October.
