Harry Kane set to break another Bundesliga record by Christmas following stunning start to Bayern Munich career

Harry Kane is on course to break another Bundesliga record with his fairy tale start to life in Germany showing no signs of slowing down.

The 30-year-old has been nothing short of sensational since swapping Tottenham for Bayern Munich in a deal worth more than £100million in August.

In 16 games in all competitions this season, Kane has chipped in with 21 goals and seven assists, with 16 of his strikes coming in the Bundesliga.

Kane, who has already fired in three hat-tricks this term, is the leading scorer out of Europe's top five leagues.

His last treble came in the 4-0 win away at rivals Borussia Dortmund, as the Englishman become the first player to register a hat-trick in their first Der Klassiker outing.

And earlier this month, the Three Lions skipper set a new German top-flight record by finding the back of the net 17 times in his opening 11 outings.

Therefore it should come as no surprise that Bayern fans have fallen in love with Spurs and England's all-time record goalscorer.

While he's made light work of smashing records on the pitch, he now looks set to break a new one away from it.

According to Kicker, Kane could set a new Bayern record for most shirts sold with his name and number on in a single season - and it may happen before Christmas.

The German news outlet states that the Bavarian outfit are expecting to flog more than 100,000 'Kane 9' jerseys prior to the annual festive day.

Kane was a hit with Bayern supporters before he had even kicked a ball, with the club offloading 10,000 shirts on the day of his arrival.

That figure had doubled by the end of the weekend, with the three-time Premier League boot winner more than repaying the fans' faith in him.

The ex-Leyron Orient loanee is already on course to score the most goals in a debut Bundesliga campaign to break Uwe Seeler's record of 30 for Hamburg in the 1963/64 season.

Speaking to Channel 4 recently over why he decided to link up with Thomas Tuchel's side, Kane said: "It was always something I wanted to do [move abroad].

"I was at spurs for 19-years but always in back of mind wanted to experience a new league, a new culture and team.

"Things in football come together at  the right time and Bayern were there and I was excited by the challenge I face going there.

"I've really enjoyed it, playing in a new stadium, new fanbase, and I'm happy with how I've started."
