Detroit Lions (8-2) to beat Green Bay Packers (4-6)
Thanksgiving is one of the most important days on the Lions calendar, where the NFL world focuses on Detroit for the traditional early fixture. This year may be the best time to have them as a headliner as the Lions are flying towards a play-off spot and divisional title.
Detroit showed a different side of them on Sunday, down to Chicago, they rallied to two quick touchdown drives to secure an all important victory. The home crowd was deafening as a David Montgomery touchdown completed the unlikely comeback.
The positivity around Detroit is likely to continue as they take on their rival Packers on Turkey Day. The opportunity to grab the number 1 seed and a play-off bye is still possible, and would predict the Lions to grab another victory against a middling Packers opposition.
Dallas Cowboys (7-2) to beat Washington Commanders (3-7) with 8.5 point handicap
Dallas face the divisional rival Commanders looking a balanced side with a direct path to the playoffs. The Commanders are coming off arguably their worst defeat of the year, a loss at home to a dire Giants side being quarterbacked by a third string player.

The Cowboys were destroyed on Turkey Day by the Commanders 41-16 in 2020 and I think revenge will be on the mind of Americas Team. They will want to make a statement that they are a Superbowl Contender and blow out a rival destined to a mediocre season. A tremendous way to do that will be a primetime destruction of the Commanders.
San Francisco 49ers (6-3) to beat Seattle Seahawks (6-3)
The 49ers have responded from a mid-season slump in the best possible way. A beatdown of the Jaguars was followed by toppling of the Bucs, and now they face the Seahawks, who seem likely to crash into mediocrity after their own poor run of form.
There is a completeness that stands out when looking at the 49ers. Both offence and defence are excelling and they are extremely well coached. Brock Purdy is coming off his best game of the season and his offensive weapons have all returned. The 49ers will have a focus on the number 1 seed in the NFC and will look to strengthen their case with another victory on Thursday.
