Manchester City head into Saturday's crunch match as the favourites for a victory which would extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table.

Pep Guardiola's side played out a thrilling 4-4 draw at Chelsea in their last match before last week's international break, but still manage to take a one point lead into this weekend's home bout.

Manchester City have won their last two matches against Liverpool, but went winless five consecutive games against the Reds prior to their Carabao Cup win over Klopp's side which took place just four days after the World Cup final last season.

Man City's 4-1 win over Liverpool in the Premier League back in April took the overall managerial head-to-head between Guardiola and Klopp to 12-11 in favour of the German.
