Boxer instantly puts opponent to sleep and leaves him sprawled on the ropes with brutal left hook KO

Mark Schleib literally knocked his opponent unconscious with a brutal stoppage against Shamal Ram Anuj.

The pair went toe-to-toe in a boxing fight on Wednesday in Australia on the undercard of Nikita Tszyu vs Dylan Biggs.

Schleib, 12-2 prior to this fight, was in desperate need of a win coming off the back of two knockout defeats and he bounced back in spectacular fashion.

In round five of the fight, the 30-year-old Schleib found the finish, as he caught his opponent with a thunderous left hook.

Ram Anuj was immediately put to sleep, as his legs buckled and he collapsed down to the canvas.

But, on his way down he was caught by the ropes and he slumped against them unconscious, as Schleib was awarded the victory.

Ram Anuj was immediately attended to by the doctor who eventually helped him out of the ring.

After the knockout, Schleib could be seen shouting at the camera: "I'm coming for everyone."

And is post-fight interview the Australian revealed the sacrifice he had to make ahead of this clash, saying: "Nine months without my kid. Crying every day before training. I love you Oscar, I hope you're proud of me son.

"As long as you love me son, I'm always going to be a world champion.

"My mum, in and out of the [psychiatric] ward, looking after her. Just a lot of relief."

Meanwhile, former world champion Billy Dib who was on commentary remarked: "That is a vicious knock out blow.

"That's got to be knock out of the year.

"He bided his time and went bang! He was asleep straight away."
